Workshop 27

The Convent of St. Teresa
With Erik Goddard

Friday November 5, 9:00AM - 4:30PM

SOLD OUT

The convent of St. Teresa in the remote hills of Spain has remained unchanged for nearly three-hundred years. Yet while the nuns have gone about their business below, no one seems to know who maintains the candle in the room at the top of the stairs.

This one inch scale room box is approx. 8x8" and 4" deep. The workshop price includes everything: the box, frame, all tools and materials for building, and interior furnishings, EXCEPT the painting - you are encouraged to bring one of your choosing, or you can leave the wall bare. In this class, you will use Paperclay, build a staircase, touch up and weather the interior accents, and make it look "lived in."

For the exterior of the box, you will create an aged/crackled brown motif, or you can leave bare to design as you please later. The cutoff date for registration is Oct 13 2010. The small size of the box makes it easy to pack if you are flying to Philadelphia.

Student Supplies and Tools Needed: Basic tool kit.
